In a step toward improving and developing healthcare services in Gaza, Al Baraka has completed the renovation and rehabilitation of the maternity ward at Al Ahli Baptist Hospital, thanks to a generous donation from the descendants of Algeria’s figures, as part of their ongoing support for the “Fulfilled Promise” campaign.

The project involved comprehensive renovations, including repairing damaged ceilings, refurbishing walls, painting, and equipping the ward with modern medical equipment to enhance the working environment for doctors and nurses and provide comfort for women.

On December 26, 2024, Al Baraka organized an inauguration ceremony for the maternity ward, attended by several officials and prominent figures. Mr. Shadi Janina, Director of Al Baraka’s Gaza Office, expressed his gratitude to the donors, highlighting that the hospital has always supported Palestinian families and their patients with its skilled doctors. He emphasized that this project aligns with Al Baraka’s commitment to providing the best healthcare services for the injured and ill among the Palestinian people.

The director further noted that Al Baraka’s efforts in this project reflect their deep commitment to the Palestinian cause and their ongoing dedication to bolstering Palestinian resilience. He also extended thanks to Al Baraka’s team and healthcare professionals working on the ground for their significant efforts to improve the health sector in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the management of Al Ahli Baptist Hospital, represented by the hospital director and the head of physicians, expressed deep gratitude to Al Baraka Association for its continuous efforts since the beginning of the aggression. They described this project as the largest and most significant among the initiatives carried out by Al Baraka in Gaza.

This project marks a major step in advancing the healthcare sector in Gaza. The renovation serves as a vivid example of ongoing humanitarian cooperation amid the great challenges faced by the Palestinian people and stands as a new cornerstone for providing essential healthcare to those in need.
