Thanks to the generous contributions from the residents of El Bayadh Province in Algeria, the Algerian Baraka Association sponsored fifty (50) orphaned children in Gaza and the northern region on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. This sponsorship serves as a balm to ease the suffering of children living amid ongoing aggression.
A representative from the association highlighted that this noble support reflects the deep fraternal solidarity between the Algerian and Palestinian peoples and showcases the spirit of generosity Algerians embody toward their brothers and sisters in Gaza. He explained that such initiatives go beyond financial sponsorships, offering a message of hope and psychological support that bolsters the resilience of orphaned children who lack the most basic necessities of a dignified life.
The representative also noted that members of the Algerian community, both within the country and abroad, are committed to providing all possible material and moral support to these orphans. He called on all benefactors to continue these humanitarian efforts, praying that Allah Almighty rewards their generosity with blessings and peace of mind. He affirmed, “Every contribution to these orphans makes a real difference in their lives and brings smiles to their innocent faces.”
In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, children in Gaza conveyed their thanks for this generosity. One beneficiary, a young girl from Gaza, shared her emotions:
“Who am I? An orphan living in Gaza amidst wars and fear, among screams and pain. I don’t know the meaning of childhood or life. I am deprived of my simplest rights, of playing with other children. Should I play with stones, or fire, or shrapnel from wars? I am denied my right to education before I can learn and excel at school. My life now revolves around searching for safety.”
The girl concluded her message by saying, “Thank you, from the children of proud Gaza to beloved Algeria.” This moving message underscores the profound impact of these humanitarian initiatives in alleviating the suffering of Palestinian children and instilling hope in their hearts.
Supporting orphans in Gaza is part of the series of humanitarian projects the Algerian Baraka Association seeks to implement in the region.
